Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our process, logistics, and what to expect when working with Blue Owl Media.
We work collaboratively with your team to create seamless sequences. While your manager or a designated staff member directs the staff's actions and performance, we assist with the choreography—optimizing the flow and timing of shots to match the drone's movement. Ideally, a flight path and sequence of events should be planned prior to the shoot day to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
Our standard turnaround time for a complete flythrough package is approximately 2-3 weeks from the date of filming. This allows time for meticulous editing, color grading, and final polish to ensure the product meets our premium standards.
Not at all. We specialize in working within active environments without disrupting operations. We typically schedule our flights during the guest breakfast window (around 09:00 AM), ensuring the common areas are naturally quieter while maintaining the authentic buzz of a working hotel. This allows us to capture the property at its best without inconveniencing your guests.
We constantly monitor weather forecasts leading up to the shoot. If conditions are unsafe or detrimental to the visual quality (heavy rain, strong winds), we will reschedule the flight. We are flexible and usually book a multi-day window to account for weather variability.
We prioritize safety by using a compact 2.5" drone with full propeller guards, specifically designed for low-risk indoor flying. Additionally, we fly with strict safety protocols to prevent accidents. Please note that we do not currently hold public liability insurance, so the client assumes full liability for the operation.
